“I’m not a manager managing wrestlers,” Zelina Vega reveals how she replaced NXT star to join LWO
Zelina Vega reflects on her recent joining of Legado Del Fantasma and replacing Elektra Lopez in NXT. Read on to discover her thoughts on this new venture and the challenges she faced.

Legado Del Fantasma was one of the most promising factions in NXT. WWE hasn’t had a credible Lucha Libre presence since Calisto. Legado bought just that with a credible heel run in NXT.
During their time in NXT, the trio were managed by Elektra Lopez. But when they arrived on the main roster, that mantle was now being handled by Zelina Vega. Recently Zelina was on Ryan Satin’s podcast where she spoke about joining the stable.
Zelina was the winner of the Queen of the Ring tournament in 2021. She was the manager of Andrade, Angel Garza, and Austin Theory. On being asked about joining Legado Del Fantasma, she had the following to say;
“I mean I was surprised if I’m being honest, it was a surprise for me because it wasn’t exactly the plan….only became the plan literally the day before … It was just completely different because now it’s not just pushing for one person, it’s pushing for a team … I’m not a manager managing wrestlers. We’re a group of wrestlers that are all pushing to be the best.”
The group initially consisted of Elektra Lopez, who is currently managing the D’Angelo family in NXT. When asked about replacing Lopez, she said that the group needed someone who was familiar with the main roster schematic and could help them just settle in easier. She said she’s happy with how things are shaping out for all parties.
What’s on the card for Legado Del Fantasma?
Currently, the stable joined forces with Rey Mysterio to form the LWO to help Rey combat The Judgment Day. Zelina is lined up to take on SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley at Backlash. The stable is part of a major storyline which is good for those involved.
However, with the Draft coming, there is a possibility that the stable breaks up. Zelina is a capable performer in the ring and a real presence on the mic. She needs more opportunities to prove her value.
