Universal Champion Roman Reigns sends a heartfelt message after winning an award for his work with Make A Wish Foundation
Universal Champion Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns has been one of the most dominant Champions seen on WWE in a really long time. While only some of his wins has been clean victories, but the constant interruption from The Usos has only added some heat to his Heel character. Reigns returned to WWE after a brief break at WWE Summerslam 2020, in a new Heel avatar.
Since turning over to the dark side, the former Shield member has been performing on a whole new level. The Tribal Chief has been a dominant force on the Blue brand and the success has even rubbed on his cousins The Usos. The trio are jointly known as The Bloodline. Reigns has been consistently going from strength to strength.
The Head of the Table has been the Universal Champion for over 400 days now. While the WWE Universe loves to hate the Tribal Chief’s on-screen character, but Roman Reigns is still the good guy off TV. He recently won the Chris Greicius Celebrity Award for his work with the Make A Wish Foundation.
“Each and every smile of one of these children is my “award.” Proud to work with MakeAWish and will continue to support in every way I can!” – tweeted the Universal Champion in response to WWE’s congratulatory tweet.
WWE has a very long association with Make A Wish Foundation, with John Cena being one of the top names in the community work. Reigns has been quite active with the community work too, and his efforts have been duly awarded.
Drew McIntyre could be Roman Reigns’ next challenger
Universal Champion Roman Reigns is currently gearing up for his match against WWE Champion Big E at WWE Survivor Series 2021. A feud is going on currently between The Bloodline and The New Day. This is just a one-off match between the two Champions and is unlikely to continue post the PPV.
Seemingly, Drew McIntyre will be the next Superstar to challenge the Universal Champion. He is currently on a dominant run on Smackdown and has successfully issued and won several open challenges. Brock Lesnar is expected to return after this feud.
