Roman Reigns’ return date revealed

Universal Champion

Roman Reigns is the biggest WWE Superstar and arguably, the biggest Superstar in the entire professional wrestling industry as well. He made a smashing return to WWE at Summerslam 2020 and has dominated the roster ever since. Its been over 400 days since he has held the Universal Champion and from the current momentum it seems quite unlikely that he will be losing the title anytime soon.

Over the course of his reign as the Universal Champion, the Tribal Chief has emerged victorious from several massive feuds against the likes of John Cena, Edge, Daniel Bryan and Finn Balor among others. But his biggest challenger yet emerged at WWE Summerslam 2021 – the “Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar.

The two behemoths collided at Crown Jewel, where Reigns managed to retain his title after interferences from Paul Heyman and The Usos. They were scheduled to battle in a rematch at WWE Day 1 – but hours before the event Roman Reigns tested positive for Covid-19 and consequently, wasn’t cleared to compete.

While his scheduled opponent managed to win the WWE Champion, the WWE Universe waited eagerly for Reigns’ return to see how this feud goes forward. Thankfully, fans will not need to wait any longer as the Universal Champion has been medically cleared by WWE and will be returning on the upcoming episode of Smackdown.

Roman Reigns might call out Paul Heyman

wwe survivor series 2021 spoilers
Reigns and Heyman

The last time Reigns was seen on Smackdown, he had fired his Special Counsel Paul Heyman. Since then, Heyman has gone back to being the advocate to Brock Lesnar. In fact, this week on Raw, Heyman called out Reigns for being so incapable that within days of being without him, he contracted the virus!

When Roman Reigns walks out to the ring on the upcoming episode of Smackdown, he will definitely call out Heyman. But he needs to careful – because the WWE Champion is going to be there too. If this continues, we might soon see a Champion vs Champion Winner Takes All match at Wrestlemania 38.
