Seth Rollins is up for a rematch with NXT Superstar Adam Cole
Cole and Rollins
The two main roster brands of WWE collide annually at Survivor Series. But in 2019, WWE decided to shake up things and the Survivor Series featured the battle between all the 3 WWE brands. NXT invaded the main roster and feuds were set up between the NXT Superstars and the Superstars from the main roster.
The triple-brand battle led to several interesting feuds. One of the most appreciated rivalry was between the then NXT Champion Adam Cole and WWE Raw star, Seth Rollins. Cole even defended his NXT title against Rollins on an episode of WWE Raw.
The match ended via disqualification, after Cole ambushed Rollins, allowing Cole to retain his title. Rollins and Cole recently appeared on the 100th episode of WWE’s The Bump. The duo discussed their 2019 clash and even discussed the possibility of a rematch.
“I personally, would love to run that one back. I would love to run that one back. I know myself and Adam Cole are capable of so much more than what you saw that night. That was just a little dip in the pool. We’ve got an entire ocean of potential awaiting us. And I know if we run it back once, twice, three, four, five times, we’ll blow the wrestling world out of the sky baby. I know it,” Rollins mentioned.
“It was huge. That entire month was like a giant whirlwind, starting with Daniel Bryan on SmackDown and then having to face Seth Freaking Rollins just a couple of days later on Monday Night RAW in the main event. It was massive. To me, that was when I showed everybody in WWE that Adam Cole had arrived…It was huge and I’m not just saying that because [Rollins] is here. That’s a fact,” added Cole.
Road ahead for Seth Rollins and Adam Cole
Seth Rollins currently appears on Smackdown, where he involved in a feud with Cesaro. He attacked the Swiss Cyborg in the final moments of Wrestlemania Backlash, and seemingly broke his arm. WWE has been teasing a feud between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, and we might witness the feud soon.
On the other hand, Adam Cole’s team – The Undisputed Era has been broken. He was involved in a brutal feud with Kyle O’Reilly. The feud ended in the main event of Night Two of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Cole is yet to kick-off a new feud.
