Smackdown vs Rampage: Which show was much better?
AEW Rampage and WWE Smackdown were both blockbuster events in quick succession. It was a treat to the combat sports fans and it is hard to identify who won the battle in Smackdown vs Rampage show battle. AEW Rampage was an entertaining show of high profile matches while WWE Smackdown was a combination of two of the best promos in WWE history.
Rampage had three matches all with championships on the line where two of them saw the champions retaining. The kick-off match saw Christian Cage defeat Kenny Omega in a blockbuster battle and win the Impact Wrestling World title. The second match saw Miro retain the TNT Championship from Feugo del Sol followed by Britt Baker retaining the AEW Women’s championship from Red Velvet. The even was a total entertainer.
On the other hand, Smackdown saw Roman Reigns and John Cena in an intense war of words heating up their rivalry for Summerslam. Shinsuke Nakamura was then seen keeping his momentum and becoming the new Intercontinental Champion. The show also saw Seth Rollins boil his rivalry with Edge and then Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks make things official for the Biggest Party of the Summer.
After months of speculations, CM Punk will probably return on AEW Rampage next week which gives AEW a greater hold over the weighing scale against Smackdown. So, after some hard thinking, it can be said that AEW Rampage was better than Smackdown. Though this is an opinion and not a fact, it can be changed according to different perspectives.
After Smackdown vs Rampage show battle, is AEW getting the edge over WWE slowly?
AEW has been getting a lot of support from released WWE superstars which makes everyone think that AEW will soon be the top wrestling brand in the world leaving WWE behind. But this cannot be said true. Even after some top released WWE superstars moved to AEW, the McMahon Family has managed to draw attention and has been quite successful as well.
No matter the number of superstars AEW draws from WWE, some top superstars like John Cena, Edge, Goldberg, Rey Mystero, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, and more are automatically selling tickets which is a great positive for WWE. If WWE decides to release some of these superstars, AEW could then be able to win the battle slowly and get a great edge over the best wrestling brand in the world.
