Former Women’s Champion Becky Lynch’s record at WWE Summerslam

WWE Summerslam is the next major event that the company is building up to, and this year WWE wants to take the PPV to the level of Wrestlemania. With that in mind, WWE is getting back some of their biggest Superstars for the event.
The biggest star of the company, John Cena has already announced his match against Roman Reigns at WWE Summerslam. Goldberg has also returned and will be facing WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. Considering the level WWE plans to achieve this year, we can expect some more Superstars to return.
One of the Superstars that the WWE Universe is eagerly waiting for, is former Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. The Superstar herself has teased her WWE return on numerous occasions and fans were almost certain of her return at WWE Money in the Bank.
But that did not happen. But we might see her return at the “Biggest Party of the Summer”. Lynch made her first Summerslam appearance in 2015, when she teamed up with Charlotte Flair and Paige in a 3-Way Tag Elimination match. The trio emerged victorious in the match that also involved The Bella Twins, Alicia Fox, Tamina, Naomi and Sasha Banks.
In 2016, she participated in another Tag Team match. Her team with Carmella and Naomi suffered a loss at the hands of Alexa Bliss, Natalya and Nikki Bella. In 2018, her losing spree continued as she and Carmella lost to Charlotte Flair in a triple-threat match.
Finally in 2019, Becky Lynch participated in her first Summerslam singles match. She successfully defended her Raw Women’s Championship against Natalya, after picking up a dominant win via submission.
Becky Lynch could still appear at WWE Summerslam
There is still around a month to go for WWE Summerslam, which gives WWE ample amount of time to bring Lynch back and build a feud with her. In fact, both the Women’s Championship feuds for Summerslam are still not booked.
Lynch could go after either of the two Championships. Or WWE could even decide to wait to bring back Lynch at Summerslam, something on the lines of John Cena’s return at Money in the Bank.
WWE Summerslam 2021 airs live on 21st August, 2021.
