Summerslam, dubbed as “The Biggest Party of the Summer” is less than a month away and WWE has planned a packed card for the event. Top Superstars like John Cena and Goldberg have been already announced for the event.

But one of the most dominant Superstars in the history of the company will not be appearing for the mega-event this year is Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate has delivered some memorable bouts at the PPV.

Brock Lesnar’s first appearance at Summerslam came in 2002, when he defeated Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to become the WWE Undisputed Champion. The very next year, he went after Kurt Angle for the WWE title, but ended up on the losing side.

But the streak ended in 2015, when he submitted to The Undertaker. But there was no drop in the quality of his performance, as he and Randy Orton delivered one of the best Summerslam matches in 2016. The next two years, went on with the rivalry with Reigns.

Brock Lesnar’s final appearance at Summerslam came in 2019, where he defeated Seth Rollins to become the WWE Universal Champion.

Brock Lesnar was last seen on WWE AT Wrestlemania 36, where he was defeated by Drew McIntyre in a WWE Championship match. Post that Lesnar did not sign a WWE contract and has been a free agent since. There have been no reports of his return, making it unlikely now, that he appears at Summerslam 2021.

Since then, his on-screen manager, Paul Heyman has gone on to become the Special Counsel to the Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Fans have been rooting for a rivalry between Reigns and Lesnar with Heyman added to the mix. But currently it seems like a distant desire.
