WWE Summerslam 2021 is going to be an event of numerous first. The 34th edition of “The Biggest Party of the Summer” will be the first PPV to air live in theaters and will also be the first to air live on a Saturday.

Additionally, some of the biggest stars of the company – John Cena, Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Rey Mysterio among others are set to appear on the event. WWE has built up several blockbuster feuds for the event, but then, the event is popular for delivering some of the most memorable feuds in the history of the company.

One such feud was between friends-turned-foes – Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. The two Superstars, along with Roman Reigns, were part of The Shield. Despite being newcomers, the trio dominated the roster for a couple of years. But things took a turn when Seth Rollins turned of his group and attacked Ambrose and Reigns.

During this time, The Shield was involved in a feud against Evolution. Rollins aligned himself with The Authority, and described it as a business decision. Ambrose was keen on taking revenge on Rollins, whom he termed as a “cancer” in The Shield. Whereas Reigns moved on and started focusing on winning the WWE Championship and feuded against Randy Orton.

Considering the Bad Blood between these former Shield brothers – fans were excited for the battle between Ambrose and Rollins. Initially, the duo were supposed to fight at Battlegrounds but Rollins won that match via forfeit, because Ambrose was ejected from the arena after he attacked Rollins prior to the match.

Post this Beat the Clock challenges for announced, where the winner would choose the stipulation for the Summerslam match. Finally, Ambrose won the challenge and announced that he would face Rollins at WWE Summerslam in a Lumberjack match.

While initially the WWE Universe was quite underwhelmed due to the fact that WWE decided to add the Lumberjack stipulation to a match that could otherwise be the best match of the night. But Ambrose and Rollins exceeded the expectations of the fans and delivered one of the best Lumberjack matches.

The two Superstars battled around the stands and assaulted the Lumberjacks too. Finally, Kane had to come down to the ring to restore order. Just when it seemed like Ambrose will pick up the win, after a Curb Stomp onto Rollins, Kane interfered and broke up the win. This also kicked up a massive brawl between the Lumberjacks. Rollins finally hit a distracted Ambrose with the Money in the Bank briefcase for the win.
