Since the introduction of the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in 1988, its main event has become the center of attraction for wrestling fans. The main event of this pay-per-view is a 30 men rumble match. The match is basically a battle royal type of match. But this has been a male wrestlers’ dominated match.

The Rumbles are matches only the male wrestlers participate to aim to become the last man standing in the ring. Over the years few female wrestlers have given their short and surprising appearances in these matches. It takes till 2018 for WWE to make a Women’s Royal Rumble match. 2018 saw the inauguration of the Women’s Royal Rumble.

Before the inauguration of the Women’s Rumble match, several female wrestlers have given their appearances in The rumble matches. Bit Luna Vachon is the first woman to enter into a Royal Rumble match in 1994. Chyna is the second woman in WWE history to enter the men’s Rumble match.

She did it twice- 1999 and 2000 men’s Rumble match. A long time after that incident, Beth Phoenix entered the Rumble match in 2010 and surprisingly eliminated the WWE giant ‘The Great Khali’. Again, Awesome Kong Kharma participated in the 2012 men’s rumble match.

WWE female superstar Asuka, who was enjoying a staggering winning streak in her WWE career, stood tall at the end by eliminating Nikki Bella at the end of the match. Asuka survived 58minutes and 57 seconds to win the first Women’s Royal Rumble match.

Since 2018, female wrestlers like Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Bianca Belair went on to win the Rumble matches. This time, in the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble, it would be interesting to see which female wrestler conquers the ring.
