In Short
  • Dianna Russini was spotted dining with her husband and friends amid ongoing media scrutiny over her relationship with Mike Vrabel.
  • NFL analyst Zach Gelb criticized TMZ for its relentless coverage, suggesting it has become irrelevant.
  • Chase Daniel, Russini's former co-host, commented on the scandal, expressing sympathy but emphasizing it's their personal matter.

Nearly forty days since the New York Post busted Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel for having an extramarital relationship, Russini stepped out in the open to dine with her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, and a handful of friends. Later, they even attended a Bruce Springsteen concert.

Onlookers at Bourbon and Branch Bar in Midtown had to rub their eyes seeing Russini and her entourage dining at the establishment.

They were having a great time. They were having a blast with a big group of friends. Lots of food and drinks ordered to their table, and they were very carefree given everything that has gone on.

One source told TMZ

A different source told the gossip publication that Russini looked in good spirits and shared drinks with her friends. Later in the day, the group went to Madison Square Garden to watch Springsteen light up the stage like “The Boss.”

TMZ hasn’t stopped reporting on Russini and Vrabel’s illicit relationship ever since the Post published their photos on April 9. Following the latest round of news on the subject, Zach Gelb, a renowned reporter of everything Dallas Cowboys, urged TMZ to find something new to report on.

I think we reached the point of the story where I’m going to say who gives a [expletive] about this? Like when she speaks it will be interesting or if we find out something new it will get attention, but who cares about her getting dinner before attending a concert?

Gelb tweeted

Social media calls out TMZ for acting as Dianna Russini’s PR

It’s not like this was the first occasion Russini stepped out of her house in New Jersey. She and her husband were part of a rescue operation on the highway, helping out a trapped old man and his pooch inside a Jeep. More recently, she went full PDA with her husband outside their home on Mother’s Day.

This is the first time Russini and Kevin have been spotted together, enjoying time with friends since leaving The Athletic. Many believe that it’s a calculated move by Russini and her PR team to get her back into the game once more. For example, the popular Patriots channel, Boston Radio Watch, tweeted,

This has all the hallmarks of a carefully choreographed comeback or professional reboot.

Senior CNN reporter Andrew Kaczynski compared TMZ’s rigorous reporting on Russini to “stalkerish” behavior.

Russini’s former co-host breaks his silence on the scandal

Apart from working as The Athletic’s lead NFL insider, Russini also managed a YouTube podcast named “Scoop City” with former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel. Daniel had been silent on the Russini-Vrabel scandal until he went on the Jim Rome Show and shed some light on his stance on the matter.

Look, that’s something that’s unfortunate in many different ways. We haven’t really chatted about it. We haven’t done any of that, so I’m going to leave that there. That’s their business. It has turned into quite the assignment of everything, it’s like TMZ is covering it, the Wall Street Journal, all these things are covering it, so I’m sure she’ll land on her feet somewhere, and that’s all I’ll really say about that.

Chase Daniel said

There hasn’t been much movement on the channel for over two months. Daniel doesn’t seem eager to hop back on the bandwagon either.
