Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have received heartfelt messages from families of New York City first responders who died in the line of duty after the couple donated $2 million to Answer the Call NYC.
The organization, which supports the families of fallen police officers, firefighters and emergency medical services personnel, shared the messages earlier this month. The donation came ahead of Swift and Kelce’s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Patricia Polimeni, whose husband, NYPD Detective Jack Polimeni, died in 2020, wrote about the impact of the organization’s support on families like hers.
I know firsthand how much the support of this organization means to families like mine. Your donation is so much more than a financial gift. It provides hope, comfort, and a sense of community for families who are learning to navigate life after the loss of someone who dedicated their life to serving others.

Amanda Rivera, whose father, NYPD officer William Rivera, died in 2004, also thanked the couple for their contribution. She described how the organization helped her and her mother cope with their loss.
Early in those first years following my Dad’s passing, it was hard to find our way and find support for my mom and me. We found a community where people knew what the other has been through and made friends who eventually became family. The organization has given me so many opportunities and experiences that I never thought I would experience — like throwing out the first pitch at a New York Mets game, attending concerts, and much more.

Allison Garger also shared her gratitude after losing her husband, Thomas J. Kennedy, in the September 11, 2001, twin towers terrorist attack.
She wrote, “Taylor and Travis, this is amazing what you are doing. We have been fans of yours forever! … We are forever grateful!”
Lauren Profeta, the organization’s executive director, also thanked Swift and Kelce for their donation.
We are extremely grateful to Taylor and Travis for their incredible support. Their extraordinary donation will ensure that we can continue to provide much-needed financial assistance to the families of New York City’s fallen first responders. We thank them for their kindness, their generosity, and for their fulfillment to our collective promise to Never Forget.

Page Six previously reported that Swift and Kelce donated an estimated $26 million to several charities before their wedding. The organizations included Education Through Music, Answer the Call, Musical Mentors Collaborative, City Harvest Food Rescue Center, Food Bank for NYC, and New York Cares.
The couple married in front of family and friends at Madison Square Garden on July 3. Swift reportedly spent around $3 million to rent the venue for three days.
Stephen A. Smith shares his thoughts on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding
Stephen A. Smith attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding and spoke about the event during Thursday’s episode of ESPN’s First Take. However, he declined to share specific details because guests were reportedly required to sign non-disclosure agreements.

I was there. It’s their business. I will tell you. I will say this to you: I was there. Travis Kelce invited me. Taylor Swift is wonderful. You know, I took my daughters to a concert twice, not once. You know, I spent a boatload of money, and it was worth it. By the way, Travis Kelce is my brother from another mother. Got none but love for him. It was an absolutely fabulous, fantastic wedding!
Stephen A. Smith said via First Take
Smith said he attended the wedding after receiving an invitation from Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs are scheduled to open the 2026 season at home against the Denver Broncos on September 14.
