Travis Kelce is under fire for being out of shape weeks after marrying Taylor Swift at Maddison Square Garden. Footage of the star tight end from the Kansas City Chiefs training camp has fans concerned about his health.

Kelce was close to saying goodbye to the NFL after the Chiefs failed to qualify for the playoffs. But he decided to prolong his career so that he could retire with a fourth ring.

With his contract running out, the Chiefs gave Kelce a new three-year deal. Kelce continued conditioning his body during the offseason, but he showed up out of shape at the Chiefs’ spring camp.

In a video posted on Twitter by Dov Kleiman, Travis Kelce can be seen strolling at the Chiefs camp with his helmet in his hand. The first thing the commentators noticed was Kelce’s bloated belly.

Tight ends are athletes who fit between a receiver and a fullback. They are required to do both; catch passes and block opposition pass rushers. So, staying in shape becomes an important criterion for a tight end.

Kelce is more of a pass catcher. So, he prefers to stay more on the leaner side compared to other tight ends. However, his recent bloated avatar has fans concerned about his health. And whether Swifties like it or not, football fans were quick to point fingers at Taylor, or rather her cooking, as the cause behind Kelce’s big belly.

However, a few disputed the footage—calling it an AI-generated clip.

Kleiman has a rap sheet of sharing controversial content. So, occasionally people get fooled by the material. Sports Illustrated posted unaltered video footage of the 36-year-old Kelce.

The misconceptions about Travis’ physique were put to rest by Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. When reporters asked coach Reid about Kelce’s offseason conditioning regimen, he said Kelce took up dancing.

Yeah, he looked pretty good. He stayed in shape. He did a lot of dancing at his wedding.

The Chiefs drafted Travis Kelce 63rd overall in 2013. Since then, Kelce has caught 1080 passes for 13,002 yards and scored 82 touchdowns in 192 appearances. Kelce’s 178 catches in the playoffs (including Super Bowls) are the most by any receiver in NFL history.

Kelce has earned 7 All-Pro and 11 Pro Bowl honors. He has appeared in five Super Bowls, winning three rings.
