Anthony Joshua ordered by the WBO to fight Oleksandr Usyk

Anthony Joshua has been ordered by the WBO to strike a deal with Oleksandr Usyk before the 31st of May, or else the fight would be going to purse bids. In the case of purse bids, Joshua will be getting 80% of the bids, whereas Usyk 20%. The promoters, Eddie Hearn and Alexander Krassyuk have got 8 days to work it out. Hearn recently revealed that he would come up with a solution on the 24th of May, which is tomorrow.
Usyk, the former cruiserweight champion is the WBO mandatory to face Anthony Joshua. However, Joshua vs Tyson Fury had been agreed upon earlier last week. The fight was set to happen in Saudi Arabia, with Hearn sealing a massive $155 million deal. But it fell through in the most unexpected of fashions, as an arbitrator in UK ruled that Tyson Fury must fight Deontay Wilder in a trilogy bout before the 15th of September, this year.

So both the fights have almost been confirmed, and will play out sometime this year. Joshua is coming off a victory against Kubrat Pulev on the 12th of December, last year, which all but confirmed his fight against Fury.
Usyk, on the other hand, made his heavyweight debut only last year, after having conquered the cruiserweight division to the fullest. He faced Derek Chisora on the 31st of October, winning via. unanimous decision. Usyk is unbeaten in his professional boxing career.
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder verbally agree to fight
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder have verbally agreed to fight. The fight is expected to take place on the 24th of July in Las Vegas. The site of the fight is yet to be determined.
Both Fury and Wilder haven’t fought since their rematch in February 2020, when Fury famously stopped Wilder for the first time in his entire professional career. Wilder will be looking forward to exacting revenge and even the scoreline in their rivalry.
