The Cincinnati Bengals will be up against the Las Vegas Raiders in their AFC wildcard matchup to kick off this season’s playoffs on Saturday. Cincinnati comes into the match as a firm favorite due to the recent performances against tough opponents on their way to playoff qualification.
The Raiders secured their playoff spot in the last match of the regular season against the Chargers by winning through a field goal in overtime to knockout the Chargers in a dramatic manner.
Top NFL analysts on Good Morning Football gave their views on how the Raiders can overcome the Bengals and march through to the next round of playoffs.
“The Las Vegas Raiders have to be able to get to Joe Burrow in order to beat Cincinnati Bengals”
“In order for the Raiders to win this game against the Cincinnati Bengals, They have to be able to get to Joe Burrow and sack him.”, Joe Burrow has been the most sacked QB in the league so far mainly due to a bad offensive line which does not protect him well.
“If they can put pressure on Joe Burrow, then his receivers can be limited because all of them are excellent playmakers and you have to stop Burrow from making big throws to them.”
The Cincinnati Bengals have an explosive offense that has been in effect multiple times this season where they had totally blown away their opponents.
In order to have a chance of winning the game, the Raiders will look to limit the Cincinnati Bengals’ offense led by Burrow and the likes of Ja’Maar Chase, Joe Mixon, and Tyler Boyd.
“Maxx Crosby will be key to Raiders success against Bengals”
Maxx Crosby the Defensive End of the Las Vegas Raiders will be required to have a big game against the Bengals just like he had against the Chargers where he limited Justin Herbert.
As the offensive line of the Cincinnati Bengals is weak, Crosby is expected to have a few sacks against Burrow who is the most sacked QB in the league this season. Crosby so far has had 8 sacks this season.
If the Raiders defense led by Crosby are able to get to Burrow and sack him or make him throw under pressure then the Raiders can have a fair chance of winning the game as their attack will be able to score enough to win the game.
