Former Overwatch Pro Samito to revive the popular Mineplex server after taking 100% ownership

Sam, or Samito, is an Overwatch coach at the Kentucky eSports team and the new owner of the Mineplex. The former player is all set to revive the dead server of Mineplex that was shut down recently without a proper sendoff. The internet poured out lots of condolences and memories that had been made with the server over the years. Mineplex was among the most famous Minecraft servers and made history with two Guinness World Records. Mineplex at one time saw traffic of about 34,343 players online simultaneously.

The server even collaborated with Mark Cuban’s Mavericks. But this might turn out quite soon. Since Samito has all the ownership of the Mineplex server, he has shown the courage to release it with new vigor and excitement.

With millions of people, Mineplex used to be the largest Minecraft server. It included a variety of fun modes and minigames. But as time went on, the player population began to dwindle, and eventually, a rival game (Hypixel) appeared, slowly but surely capturing the player base. Mineplex has had a relatively minimal player population for a few years.

And a few weeks ago, it was formally shut down. However, it appears that Samito, who reportedly served as an administrator there in the past, has now purchased the rights to it and will be bringing it back.

Samito gains full ownership of Minecraft’s Mineplex server

Although it presumably hasn’t produced that much money recently despite formerly being valued, the closure is the result. For a lot of individuals, it holds a great deal of sentimental importance. Since its 2013 debut, the server has been operating well. Since 2016, this Minecraft server has consistently broken records and has amassed a sizable player base. As the greatest Minecraft server, Mineplex was already moving on to its next goal, securing another spot in the 2016 Gamers Edition and Guinness World Records.

If one had to guess, players all around the world have made tons of memories with Mineplex. Samito was among those as well. With his career starting as a Minecraft player, Mineplex had a special place in his life. And Samito is out on a journey to revive one of the greatest servers and bring it back to its lost glory. This is one of those moments that puts gamers’ minds at ease. With a lot of negative aspects of the industry being spread around, this is news that soothes the mood of millions.

However, the details of when and how long it would take for Samito and his team to get the server running again are not clear.
