As the F1 world is still reeling from Sergio Perez’s tragic outing at his home race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico, another race is now round the corner. Over the years, the Sao Paulo Grand Prix has become famous for its unpredictable races and exciting Sprints. Last year, the Brazilian GP presented with a massive surprise as George Russell, who had just debuted with Mercedes, bested his teammate Lewis Hamilton to grab his career-first Grand Prix victory. And the fans will be expecting similar shocks during the Sprint weekend this time too.
Now, the F1 circus is gearing up for the final race of the triple-header (Austin, Mexico, and Brazil). Max Verstappen will be coming to this year’s 20th round of racing to grab a record-setting 17th race win while Lewis Hamilton will also be a force to reckon with. The seven-time World Champion has already won the Brazilian GP three times. On the other hand, the Tifosis still remember Charles Leclerc‘s massive win here for Ferrari in 2019. Thus, going by the past results, the Sao Paulo Grand Prix will have quite a few contenders for victory.
Coming to the middle order teams, AlphaTauri’s Daniel Ricciardo showed exemplary techniques as he finished P7 in Mexico. Even Williams’ Alex Albon and Alpine’s Esteban Ocon impressed with their performances. With only three remaining races in 2023, the pressure has built up to the maximum level. It remains to be seen which driver dominates as the Sprint weekend in Brazil awaits.
