Anthony Joshua visits Lewis Hamilton’s arch rival Max Verstappen’s despite receiving the Briton’s support after defeat to Oleksander Usyk
Max Verstappen meets with Anthony Joshua ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix to give him a tour of his garage at the Zandvoort circuit.
After a three-week-long summer break, the Formula 1 circus is gearing up to get back into business in anticipation of the Dutch Grand Prix. This is the home race of the current World Championship leader Max Verstappen. Having attained victory at ten out of the first twelve Grands Prix of the 2023 F1 season, Verstappen has already established himself as an indomitable force thanks to his brilliant Red Bull RB-19 racecar as well as the support of his Austrian team.
But going into the Dutch GP, Max seems to have garnered the support of a famous name from a different field of sports altogether. British boxer Anthony Joshua, who has previously been considered as a close friend of Lewis Hamilton’s, was seen hanging out at the Zandvoort F1 paddock with Max. aJ visited the 25-year-old’s garage and took pictures with Lewis’ arch-rival for the fans on social media.
About a year ago, when Anthony Joshua lost his second bout to Ukrainian boxer Oleksander Usyk, Lewis Hamilton stood by him and supported him. The Mercedes racer said to AJ that he was proud of his accomplishments and wanted the boxer to keep his head up and bounce back stronger. This led to the fans believing that AJ and Lewis are good friends until now as the former was seen with Max Verstappen, one of Lewis’ biggest rivals.

Max Verstappen may not achieve his target of winning all the rest of the F1 2023 Grands Prix
Going into the summer break, Max Verstappen took his race win count to a whopping ten races, and he also expressed his wish to conquer all his rivals at every remaining Grand Prix in this season. But Ferrari racer Carlos Sainz claimed that the Dutch lion will not be lucky enough to win all of the remaining races of this year. He said, “I don’t fully believe that Max is going to win every weekend. No one is perfect and hopefully at some point during the season, Red Bull make a mistake.”
Only time will tell if Carlos Sainz’s prediction about Max Verstappen’s winning streak coming to an abrupt end will be true or not. For now, Max is back after a beautiful holiday with his girlfriend Kelly Piquet and her daughter Penelope. While the Dutchman was out on a trip, his teammate kept logging extra hours at the Red Bull headquarters to build a strong base to defeat Max once again in the races.
