“I am here for young Wolff,” F1 fans comment as Mercedes gives a glimpse into the future with a snap of Jack Wolff and Kimi Antonelli
Formula 1 is a one-of-a-kind, futuristic racing series that boasts some wildly expensive racecars with top-of-the-line technology, and brilliant engineers and mechanics always at work to manufacture the best machines. And Mercedes is one of the best teams contesting in F1 at the moment. The Brackley outfit has decided to embrace the future by giving the fans a glimpse of what their drivers’ pair-up might look like a few decades down the line as they posted a photo of their Junior Programme racer Kimi Antonelli with Team Principal Toto Wolff’s son Jack Wolff.
As the 2022 season has been over for a couple of months now, and fans are eagerly awaiting for the new Championship to kickstart, the social media admins at the Mercedes garage decided to stir up some conversations amongst their followers. And thus, they chose to click some adorable photos of 16-year-old Kimi Antonelli with Toto Wolff and Susie Wolff’s son Jack Wolff. In the snaps, the junior Wolff can be seen in his karting overalls, posing for a picture with Antonelli and his father, the Mercedes Boss.
Just as the pictures hit the social media, they went viral with fans imagining this would be Mercedes’ future line-up in 2044. Currently, the Stuttgart-based outfit has its hands full with two brilliant drivers–the seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton, and George Russell, the Briton who has been touted as a future World Champion by more than one F1 pundit after his marvelous performance in his debut year with Mercedes.

As Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff’s son Jack Wolff took to his kart for a race, he was accompanied by his father and the F1 prodigy Kimi Antonelli. At only 16 years of age, Antonelli has caught the eye of Toto Wolff, and was given a seat at Mercedes’ Junior Drivers’ Programme. He hails from Bologna, and has won the titles in the German and Italian F4 Championships with Prema Racing. Kimi Antonelli will make his debut at the Formula Regional in 2023. Thus, having Antonelli there, Toto Wolff just wanted to make sure Jack sees him as an inspiration.

On the other hand, Mercedes have got a massive task on their hands right now with their promise to get back to their winning ways after a disastrous 2022 outing. Throughout the season, only George Russell could bring them a Grand Prix win in Brazil, and Lewis Hamilton suffered a winless year. But in the upcoming Championship, things are about to change as Toto Wolff has vowed to improve and learn from their mistakes in the recently-concluded season.
