Formula 1 gets new $90 Million worth Hollywood flick on Ferrari starring Oscar-winning actress Penelope Cruz and Adam Driver
Enzo Ferrari's life will be the centre of the limelight as acclaimed Hollywood director Michael Mann brings out a biopic on the motorsport visionary.

It is true that Ferrari are not being able to live up to their legendary standards in the current F1 2023 season. But despite that, Hollywood is making sure the historic significance behind the team is brought to the spotlight. Thus, a massive project headed by Neon–the production house behind ‘Parasite’, one of the biggest South Korean movies of all time–has been finalized and the first look of the film was dropped today. The biopic based on Enzo Ferrari‘s life will be directed by BAFTA winner Michael Mann.
In recent times, several screenwriters have suddenly turned their focus to the world of Formula 1. Lewis Hamilton‘s ambitious project involving Brad Pitt has already been the talk to the town ever since the crew was spotted shooting some scenes for the Apple TV movie at the British GP. But the announcement of the movie ‘Ferrari’ based on one of the most prolific persons in motorsports has gotten everyone, including F1 commentator Will Buxton, stoked for its release.
On top of the award-winning director-production house partnership, ‘Ferrari’ will boast a stellar cast as well. Tony Award winner Adam Driver will be playing the titular role of Enzo Ferrari in the film and Oscar-winning actress Penelope Cruz will also star in the film as the business mogul’s wife. Shailene Woodley, who was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for leading the cast of ‘Big Little Lies’, will step in the shoes of Lina Lardi, Enzo’s longtime love interest.

‘Ferrari’ will compete for Golden Lion at Venice Film Festival alongside other massive titles

The Venica International Film Festival has selected a list of 23 projects for the prestigious Golden Lion award, and ‘Ferrari’ is one of them. The movie, based on the great visionary who founded the oldest and most successful team in Formula One, will be competing alongside some ambitious works by some great directors. With the ensemble cast holding it up, ‘Ferrari’ is already being projected as one of the biggest ventures of Hollywood in 2023, and it will premiere for the first time on August 31 at the VIFF.
Coming back to the current times, there have been discussions about Leclerc leaving Ferrari amidst his failures at going for the World Championship. But the Monegasque has claimed that racing for such a legendary team has always been his dream, and he wishes to capture his first F1 title while wearing the iconic red suit to represent the Maranello outfit.
