Aston Martin has massive plans for 2023 with team principal Mike Krack pairing up Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso as he initiates a formula for success with the new season just a couple months away. With the Canadian driver being with the team for a few years, all eyes will be on the Spanish 2 time world champion to give the team the boost that is so dearly needs

Fernando Alonso has earned a reputation in this sport for being the most fearsome an openly honest driver on the grid. He is known to be a difficult character to deal with after his stints with McLaren made it awfully clear. However, his arrogance and eagerness to push the limits is always justified with the abundance of experience and skills that he brings to the team.

This is exactly why the 41 year old driver is still such hot property on the motorsport grid. This is one of the reasons that his new boss was so eager to have him in the team. Mike Krack believes that he and his team should have the capabilities to be able to deal with the driver’s demands in order for them to step up the stairs on their path towards success in the pinnacle of motorsport.

In an interview with Marca, here is what Aston Martin’s team boss had to say about Fernando: “Fernando is a very direct driver and person. Drivers like Fernando have achieved what they have achieved because they keep asking questions, keep pushing and want more,” Mike Krack explained.“We have to be prepared and be able to anticipate what he is going to ask,” he continued.

“He will constantly challenge us and strive for more: that is the nature of a true champion. But you can be sure he will get the most out of the car. If we want to grow and become a top team, we need to be able to handle this kind of character. Fernando is exactly what we need,” Krack concluded.

2022 has been a difficult season for the team who finished 7th in the team’s rankings. With Sebastian Vettel leaving the team, Aston Martin’s Mike Krack remains unfazed as one world champion leaves and another one joins their pack. It will be all to play for in 2023 as the team moves forward with their dream to challenge the top teams.
