Cristiano Ronaldo is set to make an appearance at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah on Sunday. The Portuguese star is obligated to do so as part of his contract with Al Nassr.

The 38-year-old joined Al Nassr of the Saudi Pro League in the January transfer window. His contract at Manchester United was terminated due to his controversial interview with Piers Morgan which led to his move to Saudi Arabia. As part of his $210 million contract with Al Nassr, the Portuguese is expected to attend the Formula One race scheduled to be held on March 19. In the past, Cristiano Ronaldo attended the Monaco Grand Prix in 2019 where he met Lewis Hamilton, who he is reportedly a fan of.

He is followed by his teammate Sergio Perez and Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso who mopped up the podium places, respectively.

Since joining from Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo is off to a flying start at his new club, Al Nassr. The Portuguese played his first game for the club in January when they faced off against PSG in January.

Since his debut, Ronaldo has scored 8 goals in 8 games and has also provided 2 assists. The tally already puts him in a position to win the golden boot for the season currently led by his teammate Anderson Talisca.

With 10 games to play, Al Nassr currently stand second on the Saudi Pro League table only one point behind Al Ittihad, their city rivals. They play their next game at home against Abha on March 18.
