“None of our business” Christian Horner believes Lewis Hamilton Retirement talks to be no one else’s concern

Team Principal of the Red Bull Formula One team, Christian Horner has asked fans to leave Lewis Hamilton alone. The Briton believes the Mercedes driver has shown his reliance in the past and can come back as a better driver.

Horner believes the 7-time World Champion will need to take his own decision. He will stand by the decision of the competitor and believes that will be best for the sport.

“He will be back this year” Christian Horner on Lewis Hamilton

Speaking to WION, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner was asked if he thinks Hamilton race this year. Horner answered, “I certainly hope he will be back this year. He is still driving at an incredibly high level. Those two drivers were in a different league last year.”

Furthermore, Horner decides to leave Hamilton to his own choice. The team boss stressed that it will be Hamilton’s choice to decide what to do: “That is none of our business” said Horner with full conviction.

The speculations regarding Hamilton’s retirement remain high after the dramatic finish to last years Championship. The Last lap drama and the consequent victory of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was enough to rewards him the win and the Championship.

There was an alarming silence in the British racers radio following the race. He has not posted anything on Instagram after the Abu Dhabi qualifying on December 11. He also decided to make a statement by unfollowing everyone on the platform. Hamilton was also absent from the FIA gala, where the awards of that sporting year were handed out.

Will Hamilton return or not? Will he be racing again in Formula one or not still remains a mystery. And that will only be answered as the season takes off on 20th March in Bahrain.
