Cameron Smith and Dustin Johnson, after being snubbed from the US team in the just concluded Presidents Cup are back in action as LIV Golf’s prized possession. LIV Golf has always managed to turn heads. It is again in the news these days, albeit for a positive reason this time. The Thailand event is a debut for LIV Golf in Asia.
LIV Golf has been making headlines and doing rounds on social media since its inception. Whether it’s the attractive winning purses, poaching players from PGA, banning of players by PGA, the anti-trust lawsuit against the PGA, LIV has been a super hit!

All eyes are on Cameron Smith and Dustin Johnson in Thailand
“The LIV Golf Invitational Bangkok marks a significant step for LIV Golf in Asia, a massive market with an incredible passion for the sport,” states Greg Norman, CEO – LIV Golf. The players will be competing and showcasing their talent and ability for the $25 million cash prize among other incentives. Thi will be LIV’s sixth competition, both in individual and team capacity.
A 48-player event, apparently, star-studded, is ready to take the golf course in Thailand from October 7 to 9. Apart from Cameron and DJ, the invitational series includes stars like Phil Mickelson, Martin Kaymer and Brooks Koepka. These guys are not tyros. With multiple Majors against their names, the event promises to be mouth-watering for the fans.
The local crowd will also have a field day as they’ll get to watch the home talent in the form of Sadom Kaewkanjana and Phachara Khongwatmai competing against the likes of Smith and Dustin. It will give them exposure to further develop their game.
