Tom Kim is an amateur, but doesn’t look like one
The Presidents Cup is underway at Quails Hollow Club in North Carolina where the amateur Kim is enjoying some of the best golf of his career. He is part of the international team which is being lead by Trevor Immelman.
As you guys already know, the controversy between the PGA Tour and Saudi backed LIV Golf Circuit has been present all season long. Earlier in the year, LIV Golf tried to poach Tom Kim over to their side with several incentives as is known to everyone. Tom Kim, however, refused to jump ship in order to play at the more conventional PGA Tour.
Tom Kim clinched his maiden cup at the PGA tour at Wyndham, although he still doesn’t know how much cash he actually earned. Refusing LIV Golf and thus the big money at a young age portrays that Tom Kim isn’t all about money. He is about living the sport and soaking in all the feelings and experience that comes with it.
