With the Presidents Cup underway at the Quail Hollow Club in North Carolina, the story remains the same as LIV Golf Circuit CEO Greg Norman wishes the International Team and its captain, Trevor Immelman, the best of luck. Norman himself was the captain of the International Team that won the Presidents Cup back in 1998.

Controversies and stories seem to be never-ending since the inception of Saudi’s PIF-backed LIV Golf Circuit. The PGA Tour and LIV Golf have been gunning for each other, leaving no chance to throw a jibe at the latter.

Trevor Immelman was not impressed at all with Greg Norman‘s wish as he stated – “Look, any of you who have known me for the longest time know that I’m an extremely open and honest person,”.

I pretty much say it exactly as I’m thinking it. What I said was exactly what I was doing when I read that tweet. I was laughing out loud.” This comes as Immelman’s team was trailing 4-1 to the heavily tipped U.S. team at Quail Hollow.

Whether Trevor Immelman was wise in his response or not is debatable. But considering the fact that he is still a PGA Tour player and is paid by them, he wouldn’t want to put the axe to his own leg for any reason whatsoever.

Norman who was earlier at the Capitol Hill garnering support for LIV Golf was unhappy at the PGA’s decision to ban players from competing at the Presidents Cup.

There have been two separate poles in Golf since LIV’s inception. The PGA Tour commissioner earlier in the week said that – there’s no chance of peace between the two Golf Circuits.

Whether the two golfing bodies will shake hands much to the relief of the players and the fans or will exist separately is yet to be seen, but one thing is certain at the moment – Golf is at a loss.
