The Baltimore Ravens’ season depends on how well Lamar Jackson plays and manages to stay on the field after missing four games last season, which ended up biting them when it truly mattered.
Even though they might be able to qualify for the postseason from the hotly contested AFC North, the very makeup of the conference makes it crucial that contenders win quite a lot of games to get favorable matchups.
Many claim that those difficulties have stopped the dual-threat quarterback from taking his team all the way to a Super Bowl. Now, his injury worries have again become a cause for worry.
In the Ravens’ comfortable win against the Titans, Jackson left the game before halftime with an ankle injury. There were legitimate concerns over their ability to win their upcoming games.
While the franchise figures out how to structure his rehab, some of the players decided to visit a shipyard in Sparrows Point, Baltimore, and listen to Donald Trump speak.
Cornerback Marlon Humphrey, sensational placekicker Tyler Loop, rookie punter Ryan Eckley, and long snapper Nick Moore were there to listen to the President speak. After speaking about them, the real estate mogul then said:
Say hello to your quarterback. He’s a little bit injured. And tell him I know his mother. I met his mother a few times in Palm Beach. And she’s a fantastic, beautiful woman. Give him my regards. He is some player.
Donald Trump said
This is some revelation from the Commander in Chief, who apparently knows Lamar Jackson‘s mother, based on the few times she met him. More importantly, the President was acutely aware that the QB was injured.
Lamar Jackson expected to miss a few games
There is no doubt that President Donald Trump makes it a point to prepare about anything he is set to speak on. But football is closer to his heart than any other sport, and he has never shied away from proving it.
Knowing that he was about to speak in Baltimore, the 80-year-old probably took note of all the news coming out of M&T Bank Stadium since Sunday. There, he noticed that Lamar Jackson suffered an ankle injury, and he is being monitored. Now, there is an update on his situation.
QB Lamar Jackson is dealing with a sprained ankle that gives him only an outside chance to play Sunday against the Falcons, sources say. Jackson could end up missing multiple games based on how rehab goes, but the injury is not considered long-term or surgical.

This means that Lamar Jackson will likely not suit up against the Atlanta Falcons. There is a concern he could miss more, but it is not as if he will be out for most of the season.
Hot-handed Falcons might give Ravens a run for their money without Lamar Jackson
Without Lamar Jackson helming the most important position for the Baltimore Ravens, they face an uphill task trying to win football games until he returns.

Sure, Tyler Huntley is a capable backup and has done well at times. But he does not strike fear in the opposition the same way the two-time league MVP does.
Out of their next five games, the Ravens are on the road against three of them, with fellow AFC playoff contenders featuring in four of them. The only game against an NFC opponent is their Week 5 clash against the Atlanta Falcons.
Even if it may not matter to the conference standings, a loss to the hot-handed team can have ramifications that could see them lose momentum against their rivals in subsequent weeks.
The Falcons are proving to be a juggernaut, with two impressive wins against fellow NFC playoff hopefuls. Therefore, unless the defense steps up and stops the likes of Bijan Robinson, the Ravens will likely face an embarrassing defeat.
