Dalton Rushing once again came under the spotlight for his plays during the San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers game. Following the Dodgers’ 3-0 win on Thursday, Luis Arraez hit out at the Dodgers’ star for some of his actions.
Earlier in this series between the two NL West rivals, Rushing found his name trending on social media after he appeared to drop an NSFW comment against Jung Hoo Lee. It seemed that the 25-year-old dropped a “f*** em” reaction after the outfielder got injured while getting tagged out at home plate during the first game of the series.

The catcher later denied these allegations and expressed that what was reported regarding him was not correct. Two days later, in the 3rd game of the series, Rushing was involved in controversy once again.
In the 6th inning of the game, Rushing was hit by a pitch by Logan Webb. A 93 mph fastball drilled him in the midsection, something he was obviously not happy about.

Later in the same inning, Rushing made more headlines following a hard play. As Hyeseong Kim grounded into a double play, he slid on the second base a couple of feet outside the baseline and nearly took out Willy Adames.

Following the game, Luis Arraez was asked about his reaction to Rushing’s plays. The 3-time All-Star pointed out that it was not “good baseball” from the Dodgers star.
For me, it’s no good. It’s not good baseball. It’s not clean baseball. … It’s dirty.

Rushing eventually finished his day, going 1-for-2 with an RBI in the 2nd inning. While the Dodgers avoided getting swept, they did lose the series against their arch-rivals.
Logan Webb denies intentionally throwing at Dalton Rushing following a 3-0 defeat
Dalton Rushing took a fastball to his midsection on Thursday in the 6th inning from Logan Webb. After the game, the pitcher denied intentionally throwing at him and claimed he had not seen the thing between him and Jung Hoo Lee the other day.

Before this series, Rushing had sparked fan outrage on social media following his “fishy” comments against the Colorado Rockies. The catcher/first baseman was left surprised with the way the Rockies were swinging on the first pitches and aimed at them.
This, along with the actions on Tuesday, had made him a villain in the eyes of the Giants fans at Oracle Park. So when Webb drilled him with the pitch, the fans inside the ballpark were happy to see that.
In the aftermath, the Giants starter explained that he was trying to pitch the ball inside and had no intentions of throwing at Rushing.
What thing with Jung Hoo? … Oh, I didn’t even see that. … Fastball inside.
Logan Webb told the reporters when asked about throwing at Dalton Rushing
After hitting Dalton Rushing in the ribs with a pitch today, Logan Webb claims he had no clue about Rushing possibly saying "F*ck em" toward the Giants after Jung Hoo was banged up at home plate on Tuesday.

Where were you trying to go with that pitch?

Speaking of Webb, he was the one who was credited with the loss in this game as he conceded the 3 runs in his 7 innings. With the loss, he was left with a 2-3 record for the year with a 4.86 ERA.
Dalton Rushing was not fazed by getting hit by a pitch
Whether Logan Webb intentionally hit him or not is a topic of another discussion, Dalton Rushing did not seem too fazed by it. In an interview after the game, the Los Angeles Dodgers‘ catcher claimed he liked getting on base, so he would take anything.

As for the situation with Jung Hoo Lee, Rushing expressed that he had cleared the air with the Giants outfielder.
It’s fine. I like getting on base. Whatever works. If it was intentional, I’ll take it. I’ll take what I deserve. I’ve cleared the air with all of that. I’ve made sure Jung Hoo is good and healthy.
Dalton Rushing said as per San Francisco Chronicle
Rushing and his side are currently tied for the top spot in the NL West division, along with the San Diego Padres, with a 17-8 record. Meanwhile, the Giants remained 4th in the standings, 6 games behind these two while being 11-14 after the first 25 games of the season.
