The 2024 NASCAR season has seen Carson Hocevar proved to the whole garage why he is among the highest rated Cup drivers of generation, by producing impressive consistency with Spire Motorsports. He was expected to continue his solid performance this week at Kansas Playoff race, but lady luck had other plans for him.
Carson Hocevar’s race was ruined by an incident involving Stewart Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe is the final laps of the third stage of the race. The driver spun out, while racing the No:14 ford Mustang close and was livid on the team radio. He was heard ranting sing curse words, blaming the Ford driver for the incident despite the fact that there was no contract.

Carson Hocevar said via team radio.
He wasn’t the first supposed victim of Chase Briscoe on Sunday. Two times champion Kyle Busch while fighting for win, got caught in the wrong aero spot and spun out, ruining his chances of winning the race. They didn’t make contact with each like in the case of Hocevar, but Busch had hinted that it was Briscoe at fault as he refused give enough space for the no:8 Chevy to overtake.
Chase Briscoe was apologetic to Kyle Busch
While Chase Briscoe didn’t talk much about the Hocevar incident in his post-race interview, he did talk about the crash that took out Busch from contention. Being a fan of the veteran he was really disappointed, as the veteran lost another chance to keep his streak alive, which has been the story of the season for him.
The Ford driver can’t be blamed fully for both the incidents, as the Chevy was at fault for those incidents. Them being a little too excited to overtake the No:14 Mustang resulted in them taking small risks that didn’t yield any good result.
