The third round of the 2022 NASCAR cup series postseason turned out to be yet another disaster for the playoff grid. Buescher’s win made him the 19th different cup winner of the season a joint most record in the cup series.
A win for Chris Buescher had a lot of complications for the championship chasers. Satrurday’s race was the last for the 16-man squad to prove their worth by facing in the front row to advance the further rounds. Austin Dillon, Tyler Reddick, Kevin Harvick, and Kyle Busch were the drivers to get eliminated as they failed to make the cut.
The RCR duo of Reddick and Dillon found themself in the middle of the crash caused by Daniel Suarez which eventually caused their exit. For the veteran duo of former champions, it was their car that prompted their exit from the playoff.
Kevin Harvick found himself in the wrong for the third successive race as a lost tire in the pit stop earlier prompted his exit. For Kyle Busch, it was a mechanical failure to his No:18 Camry, the same fate as his teammate Martin Truex Jr. had to endure later in the day.
