The third round of the 2022 NASCAR cup series postseason turned out to be yet another disaster for the playoff grid. Chris Buescher followed Erik Jones and Bubba Wallace to become the third non-playoff entrant to win a playoff race. Buescher’s win made him the 19th different cup winner of the season a joint most record in the cup series.

A win for Chris Buescher had a lot of complications for the championship chasers. Satrurday’s race was the last for the 16-man squad to prove their worth by facing in the front row to advance the further rounds. Austin Dillon, Tyler Reddick, Kevin Harvick, and Kyle Busch were the drivers to get eliminated as they failed to make the cut.
