Christopher Bell needed the win to progress to Round 8 at ROVAL. The JGR driver was able to maneuver around the front row in the final laps at Charlotte to secure his second win of the season. Bell’s win knocked out defending champion Kyle Larson from the playoff.

Christopher Bell was positioned behind Kevin Harvick for the final restart with just five laps left in the race. He kept his cool and outraced the veteran dominating the final two laps. Kyle Busch secured his first podium since the start of the playoff. He finished P3 behind Harvick.

Bell has his luck to thank for the win as his advance to the top was favored the most by the misfortune of front runners. Bell’s move to a use fresh set of tires for the final laps proved vital as it enabled him to progress with ease before the final caution came for Ty Dillon’s spin.

Along with Kyle Larson, Daniel Suarez of Trackhouse Racing, Penske’s Austin Cindric, and Alex Bowman were the drivers to be eliminated. Bowman was already ruled out due to a concussion. Suarez’s day ended due to a power steering issue while Austin Cindric failed to out-race chase, Briscoe.
