“This kid is top tier talent” NBA Fans in disbelief as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander drains a cold-hearted game-winning dagger vs the Wizards

This season, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been on a rampage, and his outing against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night was no different. The fans were in complete shock when Shai made a step-back 3-pointer with one second left in the game to give the Thunder a one-point lead after a close battle in Washington.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Oklahoma City has established himself as the league’s newest superstar and every time he plays, the NBA turns to him for discussions.
Although he has been a player of the All-Star caliber for some time, he has not yet received the title. This season, his fifth overall, is almost set to be the point guard for the Thunder star’s career season, despite injuries.
SGA’s latest prominent showing of dominance occurred on Wednesday night against the Wizards, when he recorded a game-high in points and knocked, what turned out to be, the game-winning 3-pointer with little over a second left, causing the sporting world to start to take notice.
Gilgeous-Alexander received the ball from Josh Giddey in the final seconds, down two points with the clock winding down. He then performed a between the legs crossover before finding space for a stunning stepback three over Monte Morris which appeared to be the game-winning basket. With 1.1 seconds left in the game after SGA’s efforts, the Wizards still had a chance to regain the lead, but they were unable to do so thanks to a strong defensive effort from Lou Dort.

Oklahoma City Thunder takes down Washington Wizards at their home court

On Wednesday night, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 42 points, tying his previous high, as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Washington Wizards 121-120. Gilgeous-Alexander had 30 points just in the second half, hitting nine of his ten field goals in the last three quarters. For Oklahoma City, Luguentz Dort scored 16 points, Josh Giddey added 11, and Jalen Williams scored 10.
Shai’s heroics helped Oklahoma City overcome the Wizards 35-20 in the third quarter. He made 14 of his 22 attempts for the contest, including the go-ahead basket.
Washington’s four-game winning streak was snapped, despite Kristaps Porzingis scoring 27 points. After missing five games, Bradley Beal made his return by finishing with 25 points and scoring a basket with 6.1 seconds left in the game, giving the Wizards a 120-118 advantage.
Rui Hachimura, Deni Avdija, and Monte Morris all scored in double digits for Washington, who also had contributions of 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists from Kyle Kuzma. Washington led by 17 points after one quarter, but Shai’s unstoppable play resulted in 15 lead changes throughout the course of the game.
Fan reactions of Shai Gilegeous-Alexander’s game winner

Fans on Twitter were at loss for words after Gilgeous-Alexander’s dagger:
SGA is just the third player in team history to post three straight games of at least 35 points, with the two efforts leading up to Wednesday’s outburst totaling a whopping 37 points. Being probably the league’s best penetration player, he has been extremely effective in crunch time this year and is shooting better than 40% from beyond the arc.
On 54-40-90 splits, he is now averaging around 32 points per game, third-best in the league. SGA is also playing defense this year and might be both an All-Star and the Most Improved Player by the end of the season.
