“He knows the audience is so easily influenced” Kevin Durant launches a savage attack on Skip Bayless

“He knows the audience is so easily influenced” Kevin Durant launches a savage attack on Skip Bayless

Kevin Durant has not had the greatest time playing with the Brooklyn Nets ever since he joined the roster. The team has collapsed farther away from every expectation put out by fans and their own coaches. The Nets were the top picks to win the NBA title last year but they fell short of the opportunity after all the drama that unfolded earlier during the regular season. It seems like they might be headed that way yet again.

One of their biggest critiques has been Skip Bayless. The legendary analyst has major tendencies to give blatantly harsh takes on everything happening within the league. For the last few seasons, his biggest targets have been LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and the Nets duo. The Eastern Conference team have not performed to the best of their abilities once again because of Kyrie Irving’s recent antics.

Their lack of leadership and consistency was on display to the world. Following the Nets’ recent downfall to the Sacramento Kings, Bayless tweeted out saying, “KD’s Nets have turned back into the Nots, giving up the most points any team has given up so far this season … 153! … to Sacramento! … does anyone in that locker room really care any more?” The loss was certainly embarrassing but the Nets had their reasons.

Skip’s comments are not usually the softest but they often have some sort of bitterness involved. A fan on Twitter reached to Kevin Durant asking why Bayless believed everything he said was right. Durant retweeted it saying, “He doesn’t but he knows the audience is so easily influenced that whatever he says will be taken as law” The Slim Reaper simply believes Skip is exploiting his platform to influence his audiences into believing what he has to say is correct.

Kevin Durant and Nets’ recent loss was extremely shocking and uncalled for. The Kings won 153-121 in an epic fashion making the Nets seem like a lottery team. The Eastern Conference giants had no offensive fire power besides Durant who scored 27 points. Edmond Sumner had only 18 points to back up KD. The Nets struggled from deep only making 11/28 attempts.

The Nets have gone 4-3 in Irving’s absence. The point guard is yet to return from his suspension as the Nets are adamant that he fulfills all the stipulations put forth by them before stepping back onto the court. Kyrie Irving is a key piece offensively but his off court antics have severely affected the atmosphere within the organization.
