Kyrie Irving OVERTURNS Lakers deal, urges LeBron James to reunite at Dallas Mavericks

In all the craziness Kyrie Irving has spun around the league, this recent report from Shams Charania would definitely make the Top 10. According to Charania on Twitter: “Sources: Kyrie Irving has reached out to Lakers star LeBron James in attempts to see if James would come to Dallas. Irving is a free agent this offseason.”
This report is exactly 180 degrees from the one that was floating around last trade deadline where it was LeBron James who went to recruit Kyrie Irving to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The duo of Kyrie and James formerly played together in Cleveland for three NBA seasons from 2014 to 2017. It all started with LeBron James ’ fabled return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, a team he had left for the Miami Heat back in 2010. The two won one championship together in one of the craziest comebacks (down 3-1) against the 73-win Warriors team in the 2016 NBA Finals.
The two were one of the best pairings the League has seen but they eventually broke their partnership after Kyrie had a falling off with LeBron and the Cavaliers’ front office stating that he wanted to run his own offense as the team’s true point guard instead of playing second fiddle to the King.
In all seriousness, if the Mavericks front office is somehow able to notch a deal with Lakers, a trio of LeBron James, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving would turn all heads towards Dallas as they would have one of the craziest star powers ever in League history.
Is LeBron James to Dallas Mavericks even POSSIBLE?
This outlandish trade idea in itself is highly unlikely so almost all the available trade routes are unbalanced and unfair for one team or the other.
The main idea behind Irving’s wish is to form a big 3 in Dallas which means a trade involving Luka Doncic is thrown right out the window. So, a trade where both the Lakers and the Mavericks can happen if: Dallas sends Tim Hardaway Jr, Davis Bertans, Maxi Kleber and Jaden Hardy(to match the salary amount) along with two first-round picks to the Lakers in exchange for LeBron James and Mo Bamba.
Here the Lakers will finally get a breathing room from their suffocating salary cap situation, as they would get an additional $9.5 million to spend on cap space but it would also signal the Lakers’ retreat from contention. Dallas would get an All-Star level forward in LeBron James and a rim runner in Mo Bamba in exchange for their already depleted bench.
In all sense, this trade makes little to no sense for both teams unless LeBron James wants to leave the Lakers which is unlikely as he has already floated the idea of teaming up with Bronny, who recently committed to USC in LA. This trade might actually be a card played by Irving to force his way to the Lakers.
