NBA Rumor: Brooklyn Nets renewed stance on Kyrie Irving Trade amid 7-week banishment

Kyrie Irving

All hoop fans will be aware that Kyrie Irving hasn’t made a single appearance for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA 2021-22 Season so far yet the Barclays Center team has been exceptional in maintaining their top spot in the Eastern Conference, courtesy to hard-fought effort of Kevin Durant and James Harden on both the ends of the floor, making sure that the team keeps it spirit going without the 2016 NBA Champ.

However, as per the latest NBA rumor, given the nature of this standoff, it is not surprising that the Nets remain open to the prospect of trading Kyrie Irving. This is according to NBA insider Ian Begley of SNY. Knowing that marquee player is not going to change his stance on being vaccinated, the Brooklyn Nets needs to add another piece alongside KD and the Beard in order to fight for the championship with all guns blazing.

According to Begley, “To that end, it’s worth noting that, as of late last month, Brooklyn remained open to talking trades involving Irving, per SNY sources. ESPN reported in late October that the Nets were taking calls on potential Irving trades, but not making them. In the weeks following that report, several teams said Brooklyn has continued to take that approach with the All-Star guard.”

It sounds like the Nets aren’t actively shopping Kyrie Irving, but that they are more than willing to listen to offers when they come. Unfortunately for them, teams from around the league are taking advantage of Irving’s market value being at an all-time low. It’s either the Nets are being low-balled or they’re not getting any offers at all. Either way, there is clearly no winner in this dire situation.

Having said that, Kyrie Irving’s trade drama has been ever so lasting since the beginning of the NBA 2021-22 Season. Now with the team playing with all guts, will the management take appropriate actions before the All-Star break? Remains to be seen.
