The Kansas City Chiefs led by their MVP-calibre quarterback Patrick Mahomes will take on the NFC Champions Philadelphia Eagles, in their much-awaited Super Bowl matchup this Sunday. Ahead of the big game, the Chiefs QB Mahomes addressed the media where he was pranked by the former Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall with a Rihanna fake quote.

During the pre-Super Bowl press conference on Wednesday, Marshall asked Mahomes how he felt about Rihanna saying that he was the greatest quarterback ever to play the game. “Rihanna came out and said that you are the greatest quarterback ever. Hearing that, how does that make you feel,” Marshall asked. To which Mahomes answered with a smile, thinking it was a legit quote.

“It makes me feel great. She’s going to crush it at halftime,” Mahomes said. “I have family members that I think are more excited about the halftime show than they are (about) the game. And so whatever Rihanna says is like the gospel, so I’m glad she went with me for that honor.”

However, Marshall quickly admitted that the quote was fake by saying, “She didn’t, I’m just messing around.” The Chiefs QB was pissed for a moment, but then he saw the humor in the prank and just laughed about it. “Oh man, you got me up here smiling and smirking,” Mahomes replied.

The Eagles led by the third-year QB Jalen Hurts surprised everybody this year and played like a dominant team since their first game of the season. They never took their foot off the gas and finished as the no.1 seeded team in the NFC playoff picture. Furthermore, the Eagles have decimated their opponents even in their two playoff games, winning them by a double-digit point difference. They even took down the tough and gritty San Francisco 49ers in a dominating fashion.

On the other side, the Chiefs are looking to create a dynasty with a second Super Bowl within the past four years. They are just one game away from achieving that feat and their opponent in that game will be the Eagles. The Kansas-based football team somehow got better despite losing their best wide receiver in the 2022 off-season. Thanks to the MVP-level performance of their franchise quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs were never out of the title contention, even though the experts wrote them off on multiple occasions.

Anyhow, no matter who ends up winning the title, the NFL fans are certainly in for a treat as the two evenly matched teams will be leaving everything on the field to win the Super Bowl this Sunday.
