DeAndre Hopkins started his career in Texas after he was drafted by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft. There, he established himself as a premier QB who later secured a move to another team.

The 30-year-old WR has now been released from the Arizona Cardinals and there are strong reports that he could be on his way to his former team. As soon as Hopkins was released, many started churning out the rumor mills for his next possible destination.

The Pro Bowl WR has the capacity and the ability to fit into any squad in the NFL. No matter his age, the WR is still a game-changer and can provide various troubles to the defense. If the Texans can secure the signing of DeAndre Hopkins, then it can go down as one of the biggest free agency transfers of the season.

The Texans are in a major rebuild and are looking to build a young and competent team around their No.2 overall pick C.J. Stroud. DeAndre Hopkins can serve as a leading figure in the locker room and provide the young team with enough experience.

Additionally, Stroud will also get lots of help if he is to throw passes to one of the best WRs in the NFL. The Texans have really beefed up their squad with the signing of C.J. Stroud and edge rusher Will Anderson Jr.

Now what they desire is a veteran of the game who has experience in winning big games. Hopkins can also make the Texans strong contenders for their division, which has never been dominated by a single team.
