Keith Smith has played for many teams in the league while maintaining to stay out of the public eye for the majority of his playing career. The 31-year-old has been in the NFL for around a decade now.

Smith found himself in trouble with the Atlanta Police Department recently for an unusual crime. The Atlanta Falcons fullback got arrested for traffic violations which is usually unheard of.

According to the Atlanta Police Department, Smith was pulled out for traffic violations. However, upon further inspection, it was found out that he was driving with an expired registration and a suspended license.

This caused the Police to take further action and arrested the former Dallas Cowboys fullback. It is expected that Smith was released soon after. According to his agent, his license was suspended due to a miscommunication between him and the police department relating to some unpaid parking tickets.

“We are aware of a legal matter involving Keith Smith this afternoon and have been informed of its details,” the Falcons said in a team statement. “We will have no further comment at this time.”

Keith Smith was arrested by the authorities for a crime of minor significance. However, this gives an indication that the law is similar for everyone even if he earns millions of dollars.

Before this, Keith Smith was basically unheard of by many NFL fans. However, after this recent fiasco, the fullback has come into the eyes of the public and many have started discussions about him.

The 31-year-old had an impressive college football career but wasn’t able to replicate it in the NFL. He started with the Cowboys, then moved on to the Las Vegas Raiders before settling down in Atlanta.

In the 9 years, Smith has played 129 career games with 66 played for the Falcons. Throughout his career, he has just recorded 22 carries for 53 yards and 35 receptions for 205 yards.

Smith has had a journeyman career in the NFL and it is believed that the Falcons won’t be his last spot either. He will be battling court processions now after getting arrested for minute fines.
