“No wonder Gruden’s career ended”: NFL fans react to Jon Gruden pulling the plug on trading for Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski

Tom Brady shocked the world in 2020 when he decided to leave the New England Patriots, a team with whom he had stayed his entire career and had won 6 Super Bowl rings to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a team that was at the time known for how bad it was. In addition to Brady joining the Bucs, Rob Gronkowski, who had announced his retirement a year earlier decided to come back and join Brady.

The rest is history but before Tom joined the Bucs, he had a lot of suitors who were looking to woo him, the Dolphins were one team and turns out the Las Vegas Raiders were in contention to get him. As a matter of fact, it was a done deal, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski were all set to become Raiders and play for Jon Gruden until for some reason, at the last moment, the HC chickened out and decided to go against it.

Dana White personally worked to get Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski onto the Las Vegas Raiders:

UFC President Dana White seems to have talents as an NFL agent as well, he was reportedly the catalyst who got this deal done and it was unexpected to see him get involved in this fiasco but he used his close relationship with Brady and Rob Gronkowski to talk about possibly ending up in Las Vegas and playing for the Raiders. The team could clearly use two GOATs at their respective positions.

Dana White in the midst of UFC 278 spoke to the Gronks and he narrated the entire situation, “I worked to put that deal together for Brady and Gronk to come to the Raiders, it was almost a done deal and at the last minute, Gruden blew the deal up and said he didn’t want them. All hell broke loose, it was crazy, Brady was already looking at houses, and it wasn’t being said yet that Gronk was still coming. Las Vegas would have had Brady and Gronk the year that the Bucs won the Super Bowl except Gruden blew the deal up,” White concluded.

It’s a good thing Jon Gruden is not the HC of the Raiders anymore because all Raiders fans would be annoyed at the HC for making such a ridiculous move. Rob Gronkowski confirmed this and said that this is exactly how it went down. There is no reasonable explanation for Gruden’s move, he chose Derek Carr over Tom Brady, which sounds insane, and NFL fans concur as they could not believe this.

Salty Raiders fan.

Even you don’t believe that, come on.

We get it Pat, that man Gruden really chose Carr over Brady.

Uh oh, the cat’s out of the bag! Now we know!

That punishment seems fair and sensible now.

Not this time, Gronk and Brady have both confirmed this story.

Drugs are getting stronger by the day.

Tell that to Jon Gruden, unbelievable.

NFL teams will all be reaching out to Dana White from now to do their deals for them.

Well so are Brady and Gronk who won the Super Bowl that year.

We really need to know the reason Jon Gruden called this deal off from happening.
