NHL Twitter brutally roasted Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn as his return to the team signaled its playoff run end. The team fell to Vegas Golden Knights in Game 6 with a 6-0 record, giving the fans a feeling of deja vu of Game 3.

In Game 3 the Knights ruthlessly destroyed the Stars with a 4-0 record, leading the playoffs with a 3-0 lead. With the conclusion of Game 6, the Knights have been crowned the kings of the Western Conference finals. They’ll now be facing Florida Panthers from the Eastern Conference in the Stanley Cup finale.

It won’t be a stretch to say that the Knights totally dominated the Stars even with Benn present. Ironically enough, the Stars won back-to-back games when Jamie Benn was suspended from the NHL for crosschecking Mark Stone for 2-games. With his return, the team lost their vital lead, giving the fans the chance to roast the captain.

Even before Jamie Benn was set to be announced for the Game 6 lineup, fans had been discussing the positives of his return. Either way, both the Florida Panthers and the Golden Knights will be representing their franchise in their 2nd trip to the Stanley Cup finals since 1996 and 2018 respectively.

Knights goalie Adin Hill made 23 saves to lead the team to its victory, while forward William Karlsson scored twice against the Stars. Prior to the game, Captain Mark Stone stated that they’ll “bring our best effort tonight, put it all out there and see where it takes us”.

Visibly the team was quite frustrated with losing back-to-back games, allowing the Stars to take a 3-2 series lead. Their head coach Bruce Cassidy absolutely roasted his players following the loss, but the team was successful in silencing the arena crowd with their win.

Both the Panthers and Knights showed an awfully amazing playoff run, with them beating their opponents in a neck-to-neck battle. The Panthers won against the regular-season stars Boston Bruins, and one of NHL’s top teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and their final game against Carolina Hurricanes.

The most dramatic game between the Stars and Knights was Game 3, where not only did Jamie Benn got suspended for slashing Mark Stone, but the fans enraged behavior forced the league to take precautionary actions. The players were guided to the locker room, as the Stars fans started piling up debris on ice.

Among the trash thrown, there were heavy-weight objects like cans which could have potentially hurt any player. One fan even threw a bag of popcorn toward Knights goalie Hill and the players had to once again pause the game. Regardless, the nerve-wracking run is finally over, with the playoff finals only remaining.
