Rashee Rice’s mother, Marsha Kearny, has been accused of stealing. A video of Kearny surfaced on social media, documenting the moment of the incident taking place.

A door camera footage recovered by TMZ showed a woman thought to be Rice’s mom, Kearny, walking inside a corridor wearing a Kansas City Chiefs jersey with the words ‘Momma Rice’ across the back when the reigning Super Bowl winners played the Los Angeles Chargers during the weekend. On her first lap, she checked out a parcel left on the ground but walked right past it.

The woman returned, and this time she stopped in front of the door. After pausing for a few seconds, she scooted down to pick up the packet and left with it.

TMZ revealed that the packet contained limited edition records by artist Chappell Roan.

The gossip outlet later confirmed it was indeed Rashee Rice’s mom, Marsha Kearny, through another social media post, in which she can be seen wearing the same jersey in the video.

It wasn’t a great day for the Rashee Rice family

While Kearny executed her deed, her son started for the Chiefs at SoFi Stadium. The game was a cagey affair, filled with penalties, incomplete passes, and increased levels of frustration among both teams.

However, the night took a turn for the worse when Rice got hit while trying to chase down a Chargers player from scoring a pick-6. Ironically, it was his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, who flatted him to the ground. The second-year wide receiver was carted away and did not return to the game.

While Rice went through treatment, Mahomes connected with rookie Xavier Worthy for 73 yards and secured the Chiefs’ fourth win of the season.

Later, the doctors revealed that Rice had torn his ACL and most likely will miss the next few weeks. However, they might upgrade his status to sitting out the entire season depending on the severity of the injury. The Chiefs were already short of a receiver as off-season addition Hollywood Brown picked up an injury during training camp. As a replacement, they re-signed veteran JuJu Smith-Schuster to add depth.

Rice won a Super Bowl in his rookie season, but right after that, he found himself on the radar of the police for a hit-and-run case in Texas. The SMU graduate was allowed to walk away and join the Chiefs, but the court decision remains pending. Depending on the verdict, Rice might face severe penalties from the NFL for his behavior.
