“Ever the victim,” Martina Navratilova slams Donald Trump for victimizing himself yet again in indictment case

Martina Navratilova has always been vocal about her opinions on social issues. She has also previously criticized former US president, Donald Trump. In a recent campaign, Trump called himself a victim of the “weaponized” judicial system. Navratilova condemned Trump as well as New York Times for their favorable article towards the billionaire.

Trump is being indicted by the Manhattan district attorney for a hush-money case during his 2016 presidential campaign. He recently conducted his first 2024 rally, where he was adamant about his innocence and the false legal verdicts made against him. Navratilova strongly criticized Trump in her recent tweet.

Trump lamented that despite numerous inquiries over the past eight years, no charges have been brought against him, saying that this “probably makes me the most innocent man in the history of our country.” Furthermore, he also tried to create sympathy with the crowd. Trump even stated that his indictment will cause “potential death and destruction”.

Navratilova has spoken against such claims made by Trump. She accused the former president of trying to pose as a false ‘savior’ as well. The former tennis star has also actively protested against Trump and his ideals before. In the article by The New York Times, the attempts made by Trump were characteristic, as implied by Navratilova.

“They’re not coming after me, they’re coming after you,” said Trump. In response to his statement, Navratilova added in her tweet, “ever the victim, ever the snowflake, ever the “savior”. Twitter users were also critical of Trump and spoke in support of the 18-time Grand Slam champion. She has previously condemned Trump for his unethical methods and misleading words.
