A steep rise of COVID-19 cases has prompted the government to issue a state of emergency throughout the country which lasts the length of the Olympics. The state of emergency will see the Games happen without any spectators. But thanks to live streaming, there are more ways to watch than ever before.

The opening ceremony for the Games will be held at the newly-built National Stadium on July 23 at 8 pm local time (4:30 pm IST), while the closing ceremony will take place at the same venue and the same time on August 8.
