‘Savage’ Travis Hunter pulls up for Colorado’s game wearing “bland” t-shirt after Richard Sherman’s recent comments

Travis Hunter is keeping the receipts. The star wide receiver/cornerback of the Colorado Buffaloes pulled up to the team’s game against the UCF Knights wearing a t-shirt with a one-word message. The word is “Bland.”
Former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman used the word bland to describe Travis Hunter’s route-running skills. Following his statement, Hunter clapped back at him via Instagram as he asked the corner to keep his name out of his mouth. He said it in a much nicer way requesting Sherman to “stop speaking” about him and just let him “play football.”
But this was a while ago and recently, Travis Hunter revealed that he had buried the hatchet with Richard Sherman.
The duo got a chance to speak, and the former NFL cornerback clarified his earlier statement. Sherman, apparently, did not use the word ‘bland’ in a negative context.

Travis Hunter and the Colorado Buffaloes will look to deliver the UCF Knights with the first loss of their season
It was surprising to see Hunter wear the t-shirt with the word that Sherman associated his game with. But he likely rocked that shirt as a reminder to himself that there are people out there who continue to be critical of him and doubt his potential despite his impressive performances.
It could also be him making up a scenario to keep himself motivated heading into today’s game. Some athletes tend to create scenarios or reflect upon criticism of their game to lock in mentally and focus. Shortly after squashing his beef with Richard Sherman, Travis Hunter revealed the admiration he had for the defensive back.
Growing up, he idolized the iconic Legion of Boom defense of which Richard Sherman was a key part. He looked up to him and modeled his game after him.
Travis Hunter has been having a phenomenal season so far. He is making his impact felt on offense and defense.
Last week, he came in clutch in the Buffaloes win over Baylor as he made a key defensive stop in overtime to seal the win. This week, he comes in motivated which is why it will be interesting to see how he fares.
