Dustin Poirier is currently one of the best lightweights on the planet. The UFC veteran has been a part of the promotion for more than 10 years and is currently on the cust of greatness. He is set to take on Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title in the near future.

Dustin Poirier, appeared on the latest episode of MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani which was making its comeback after quite a while. While discussing MMA, Helwani who is also a WWE enthusiast drifted towards professional wrestling. Referencing the SummerSlam 2021 which is set to take place this weekend, Helwani began speaking about the ‘Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns who is set to take on John Cena at SummerSlam 2021.

Helwani started off by asking if Poirier knew who Reigns was. ‘The Diamond’ replied, “No, I do not… I don’t man. I don’t. Guilty… I know that name [John Cena]. I know that name.” Helwani was relieved that Poirier knew at least John Cena’s name, before going on to say that Reigns wouldn’t be a happy man if he hears this.

It might be surprising to many, but that’s just how Poirier is. He always stays away from the limelight and his entire focus is on getting paid in full and raising his family. Poirier is also very actively involved in charity work – The Good Fight Foundation of his, has been doing wonders in his hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana.

As for Reigns, he has a massive challenge in the form of a new and rejuvenated Cena in front of him. The two had a war of words a week ago on SmackDown, with Cena going hard on the mic. He will be going all guns blazing when he takes on ‘The Prototype’ come this Saturday.
