Joe Rogan is a multi-talented individual known for his diverse entertainment career. Furthermore, Rogan is a comedian, actor, martial artist, UFC commentator, and podcaster, amongst other things. Additionally, Rogan has one of the best-known podcasts in the world, the Joe Rogan Experience. In an episode of the podcast, Rogan and Joey Diaz discussed the iconic fight between Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris.

Joe Rogan and Diaz discussed their iconic fight scene at the Colleseum in the movie ‘The Way of the Dragon.’ Subsequently, Diaz mentioned how iconic the moment was, seeing it on HBO as a fighting nerd back in 1970. In addition, Diaz and Rogan dissected the iconic fight scene and its rare and unique aspect. While watching the fight, both got excited, and Rogan stated:

Lee was known for his innovative approach to martial arts, blending elements from various disciplines to create his own martial art philosophy, Jeet Kune Do. Furthermore, he was incredibly fast and agile and had a deep understanding of martial arts principles.

On the other hand, Norris is a skilled martial artist with a background in Tang Soo Do and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Subsequently, he gained fame through his success in martial arts competitions and later as a martial arts action star in movies and television.

Joe Rogan says Bruce Lee inspired him to get into martial arts

In an episode of his podcast, “Joe Rogan Experience,” Rogan spoke about Bruce Lee’s impact on the sport of MMA. Furthermore, Rogan stated that the iconic movie “Enter the Dragon” was the first proper example of an MMA fight.

Rogan began practicing martial arts at a young age, with Taekwondo, when he was around 7. Over the years, he expanded his martial arts training to include various disciplines. Rogan is particularly known for his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) expertise and holds a black belt in the sport. However, recently, Rogan revealed that Lee immensely influenced him to get into martial arts.

Furthermore, Rogan stated that Lee could bring attention to MMA long before the UFC was established. Subsequently, Rogan stated that different martial arts styles being used against each other were first done by Lee.
