Conor McGregor will fight Michael Chandler sometime this year. Currently, they are filming TUF 31 as coaches. McGregor is doing many things at the moment besides coaching on TUF. He filmed scenes opposite Jake Gyllenhaal for his acting debut. McGregor is beefing with USADA about his testing pool situation. But he has switched target to his eternal enemy Ali Abdelaziz. This time it started with McGregor praising his coach at the expense of others, and Ali took insult to it.
Ali Abdelaziz and Conor McGregor have never really liked each other. During the build-up to the fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov, Mcgregor called Ali “a snitch” and “a terrorist.” They have been beefing ever since the Conor Khabib bus incident in 2018. Ali on the other hand, has a divisive past. He has been investigated several times for his involvement in terrorist attacks and scams. It appears it will not come to an end anytime soon.
Conor McGregor has not fought since his devastating leg injury suffered in 2021. He is on a two-fight losing streak, losing both bouts against Dustin Poirier in 2021. McGregor will look to get back into the winning column against Michael Chandler and possibly be in contention to fight for another world title match.

Khabib’s agent Ali Abdelaziz likely won’t be in attendance. Last time he went to Abu Dhabi for UFC 112 he was dropped as an NYPD informant & arrested for leaving the U.S. without permission (as required by his parole) from them, DHS, CIA and FBI. He has not left U.S. soil since. https://t.co/wd79GcrCmE

Ali Abdelaziz could not travel to England to support Kamaru Usman because he could not leave the country. In 2019, investigative journalist Mike Russel reported that Ali could not leave the country as last he did. He was arrested for leaving without permission and has not left since.

A resolution to their problem does not exist at the moment. It will take a miracle to find a solution. However, fight fans are excited to see Mcgregor return to the Octagon this year.
