This season has been full of trouble for the Las Vegas Raiders mainly because of all the off-the-field issues revolving around them. First, it was their head coach John Gruden then the whole Henry Ruggs situation just derailed the season for the Raiders who were off to a good start in the season.
The only positive for them this season has been their quarterbacks Derek Carr‘s performance so far who has led this team to the playoffs where they will be facing the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Wildcard match.

NFL Insider Ian Rapport reported, “The future of Derek Carr with the Las Vegas Raiders will be mainly dependent on who they will hire as their HC in the offseason.”
Ian Rappoport reported: Las Vegas and Carr have a mutual decision to make this offseason, and sources say the choice of the head coach will be a factor.
General manager Mike Mayock’s performance will be evaluated, as well, by owner Mark Davis, and whether he stays may also affect Carr’s future, as a new GM would have to make a decision on Carr’s contract.

Carr has been great this season so far throwing for 4804 yards with 23 touchdowns and 14 interceptions and has been instrumental in the Raiders’ qualification for the playoffs this season.
He was brilliant in the game against the Chargers in which the Raiders won the game through a field goal in overtime which knocked out their fierce rivals Chargers and made their spot in the playoffs after a record of 10-7 while being 2nd in the AFC West.
If Derek Carr decides to part ways with the Raiders then for sure he will be a top target for many teams who are looking for a quarterback this offseason because he is a great QB who has shown that he can lead the teams to the playoffs and in a much better environment he would be able to give his best and lead his team to newer heights.
