WWE Crown Jewel 2023 full match card and predictions: Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight, John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa, and more

WWE is firing on all cylinders to promote their upcoming Crown Jewel, which takes place in Saudi Arabia. The PLE will take place in Riyadh, with seven matches announced as of now. Looking at the pattern WWE has been following recently, no new matches are expected to be announced in the coming week. The show includes some high-level matches like Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight, John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa, and others.

The event will be the culmination of storylines for a few matches. In other cases, the matches will prove to be a chapter in the feud. The show includes matches for championship titles like the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship, the Women’s World Championship, the WWE Women’s Championship, and the United States Championship.

Seth “Freakin’ ” Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre (World Heavyweight Championship)

Seth Rollins is on a roll as he is defending his world title at regular intervals, maintaining his position at the top. His latest challenger came in the form of Drew McIntyre, who is going through a character change due to the losses he suffered recently. Therefore, the two babyfaces will wrestle for the world heavyweight championship at Crown Jewel.

Expectations are that Rollins might retain the title, as reports have suggested plans for Rollins to go against Roman Reigns at the Survivor Series in a champion vs. champion match. Additionally, the loss can also help Drew McIntyre turn heel, which has been teased multiple times in the past few weeks. The match will likely deliver on the expectations of the fans, as both stars involved have great in-ring chemistry.

Rhea Ripley vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Nia Jax vs. Zoey Stark vs. Raquel Rodriguez (Women’s World Championship)

The women’s fatal five-way match has the potential to be one of the highlights of WWE Crown Jewel 2023. The storyline leading up to the match is all the women on the show chasing Rhea Ripley for the world title, which is the top prize in their division. Therefore, all the women involved will try to get an easy victory, as they do not need to pin Ripley to win the title.

However, fans can expect Ripley to somehow win the match, as WWE has big plans for the 27-year-old. Additionally, the storyline between the women can also be continued in the form of a singles match, which can take place at the upcoming PLEs. Despite Rhea winning, all women can put on a spectacular effort and show their potential to be at the top.

Rey Mysterio vs. Logan Paul (United States Championship)

The match for the US championship is the most random match on the card at WWE Crown Jewel 2023. Following his victory against Dillon Danis, Logan Paul challenged Rey for the title, which Rey accepted. The following week on SmackDown, the match was made official. Now that Paul is done with his boxing match, fans can see more of him in WWE. Therefore, the management can put the US title on him.

Rey Mysterio is one of the most beloved wrestlers in the WWE. Therefore, Logan beating him for the title would draw him incredible heel heat. Additionally, WWE might have big plans for Paul. Therefore, the Maverick might defeat Rey Mysterio for the US championship.

Cody Rhodes vs. Damian Priest

Cody Rhodes has been in a feud with The Judgment Day for a few months now. The American Nightmare has faced all the members of the faction on numerous occasions on Raw. Therefore, it’s time that the two sides end the feud. However, it will likely end with a Wargames match in the Survivor Series.

Therefore, this match will act as a precursor for what is to happen in the Survivor Series. Fans can expect interference from Judgment Day in the match. Additionally, Jey Uso might be on Rhodes’ side to even the odds. However, after a match filled with drama, Cody Rhodes might get the victory over Damian Priest.

John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa

One of the most anticipated matches on the Crown Jewel card is John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa. Since debuting in 2022, WWE has portrayed Solo Sikoa as a monster. Therefore, Solo clashing with a legend like John Cena is a big-time match. Additionally, Cena has been teasing that his final match is nearing; therefore, every John Cena match is valuable now.

Despite that, Cena’s primary focus in his current WWE run is putting over younger talent. Therefore, Solo Sikoa might get a victory over the leader of the Cenation. In the past few months, Cena has put over stars like Austin Theory, Grayson Waller, and LA Knight. Sikoa might be the latest addition to the list.

Iyo Sky vs. Bianca Belair (via WWE Women’s Championship)

Women’s Championship Iyo Sky has been on the run of her life since winning the title at SummerSlam. Sky cashed in her MITB contract at Bianca Belair, who had just won the title minutes ago in a brutal triple threat. Therefore, it was only natural for Bianca to challenge for a rematch when she returned to SmackDown recently.

The two have wrestled in the past and have shown that they have incredible chemistry. Therefore, fans can expect a spectacular match from the two women. Additionally, Damage CTRL will likely be on the ringside. Therefore, Iyo Sky might retain her title with the help of her friends, so that the feud can continue.

Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight (via Undisputed WWE Universal Championship)

Perhaps the most anticipated match on the card is the main event. Following his meteoric rise to the top and incredible fan support, LA Knight is being portrayed as a total badass while challenging Reigns. It is highly unlikely that Knight is the one to dethrone Reigns, but there is still a ray of hope among the fans.

Most probably, Roman Reigns will retain his title after some sort of distraction or interference from the Bloodline. Jimmy Uso might have to be involved in some sort of effort to help Reigns win the match. This should protect Knight’s momentum and also portray him as one of the top stars in the company.
