This year has been great for Bobby Lashley. The Former WWE Champion clinched two championships in the company. Winning the WWE Championship, having a rivalry with Omos, competing for the US Championship, and having a brief feud with Brock Lesnar are some of the things Lashley has done this year.

Lashley managed to win the WWE Championship for the second time and the United States Championship for the third time in his career. The second half of the year proved to be the best for him, as The Almighty’s rivalry with Seth Rollins and Austin Theory has got to be some of the best work of his career.

Bobby Lashley is one of the top stars on the current roster of the WWE. Since his return to the WWE in 2018, Bobby Lashley hasn’t been a part of the SmackDown brand. The Almighty was always a member of RAW during his second run. SmackDown has felt monotonous in terms of the top superstars, and it needs some change.

According to Xero News, WWE is looking to add some talent to the SmackDown roster that hasn’t faced Roman Reigns. They are looking to switch Drew McIntyre for Lashley. These have been post-WrestleMania 39 plans, but the switch will take place in the upcoming draft.

“There has also been some talk of switching Bobby Lashley & Drew Mcintyre from Raw & SmackDown in the upcoming draft post WM. They are looking to put more talent on SD who has not faced Roman yet, as they look to build another big year for The Tribal Chief.”

Bobby Lashley has never been on SmackDown since his second run in the WWE. Lashley made his WWE debut with the SmackDown brand and wrestled there until 2006. If Lashley appears at the brand, it will be his first appearance in 16 years.

On the December 12th edition of RAW, Bobby Lashley was fired from the WWE. Lashley had struck a referee and even shoved Adam Pearce after losing the bout against Seth Rollins. Lashley lost the No. 1 contender’s match for the US Championship. However, Adam Pearce then announced that Bobby Lashley wasn’t fired, but would have to deal with the consequences of his conduct.

Former WWE writer Vince Russo has shared his thoughts on Bobby Lashley’s firing angle. During the latest edition of Legion of RAW, Vince Russo stated that the entire angle with Bobby Lashley being fired and reinstated was useless.

“I cracked up today because one of the last things they said on RAW tonight was Bobby Lashley has been reinstated. Bro, no reason. So I’m like, ‘Why did we go through that whole thing for him to be reinstated?’ Like really, bro?

Since then, Bobby Lashley has never appeared on RAW. However, Lashley is back in action, as on December 27 he faced Omos at a live event in Atlanta. It has been said that The Former WWE Champion might resume his rivalry with Brock Lesnar. The record between the Beast Incarnate and the Almighty is 1-1, so it needs a fitting finale to their feud.
