On the final episode of SmackDown in 2022, Charlotte Flair surprised fans by making her return to the ring. After being out since WrestleMania Backlash last year, she made her return to the WWE with a massive reaction from the fans. The Queen made her return to the squared circle with a brand new entrance theme as well. The former 13-time women’s champion returned to challenge Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown women’s title. With a positive reaction from the fans, she pinned her to become a 14-time women’s champion.

In a recent interview with the “New York Post,” she talked about her return, including her new entrance theme music. She said, “My last music hit with the guitar off the bat,” she said. “I’m such an EDM, techno, house-music person. That was the vibe that I wanted. I was like ‘this needs to come out strong.’ at first, when I first heard it, I was ‘oh this is cool,’ but when it played out on that night I came back I was like, ‘oh no we got to go back to the writing board.”

She commented on why she wanted to change her entrance music. The SmackDown women’s champion informed WWE about this prior to her return on the final SmackDown of 2022 in Tampa. She expressed her mixed reactions to the change in her entrance theme. The majority of fans gave positive reactions to the change as this new music reminded them of ‘The Nature Boy,’ Ric Flair’s theme. The Queen also reflected on why she wanted a change, as she wanted to start fresh after returning as a babyface.

Charlotte’s spectacular return and her winning the SmackDown women’s title right after returning confirm that she is here to stay. She is also closing in on her father’s record of 16 championship wins. And her 14 title victories don’t include the two NXT title victories that she has to her name. Some fans don’t like the idea of her being pushed to the top all the time. But the truth is that she deserves it more than many other female wrestlers today. She is a great competitor in the ring. On her day, she can put on a great match against almost anyone. She is one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time.

Fans also got to see the confrontation of both champions from different brands this past week on the 30th anniversary of Raw. The confrontation and war of words between the two make it more likely that they will be facing each other at the show of shows. As for Bianca, she has defeated all the other members of the Four Horsewomen except the queen. After making her main roster debut, she was destined to be the new face of the Women’s Division. And it would surely be a great match if she got in the ring against Charlotte.
